I've been recently unemployed, so I decided to get back into the whole "blogging" thing. my last post was on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, which in about 5 days, will be a whole year ago! so much has happened since then, so lets start where we left off...
Regarding the little accident with dumbass, I ended up getting about $600 from the insurance company. A trip to the junkyard, and $50 later, I have a new bumper (which, by the way, was green) . Hack the old one off, throw it away, put on the new one, problem solved.
In February of 2010, exactly one week from my birthday, I traded my car in for a red 1997 Ford Ranger. I got $400 worth for my trade-in (shitty car), by the way, the brakes were grinding at this point, and took out a $3000 loan. because I was a week from being 18, I had my mom sign for the truck. My new (to me) Ranger came with a matching topper, 2.3L 4cyl engine, 2wd. overall a nice truck.
since I got my truck, I've turned 18, and graduated. The house I helped build looks nice, you can learn about it by clicking this Link.
After I graduated, I got my own apartment. It sure is nice to have a place of my own.
I quit my job at the old folks home in October, to work for a guy doing home repair stuff. This didn't work out so well, so now I'm unemployed.
There will be many more posts in the days to come, so if anyone is out there reading this, stay tuned. good night, and good luck!

Stupid people
I don't really care too much for the car anyway now. I was planning on selling it this summer. I recently found out that she needs about $400 worth of new parts. the place I took it to said it would cost me $1600 to fix everything (including labor).
I might just put a junkyard bumper on it. A little blue never hurt!
I'm planning on getting a newer Ford Ranger. 1997 or later. I only really had this car for getting to and from school anyway. And it only cost me $1500. By the way, the repair bill is more than that,. Hell, its more than the car is worth as a whole!
2010!!!
Here's hoping you had a good Christmas, and a happy new year! 2010 yo!! I graduate this year. sweet! take it easy, and don't drive too fast! (you'll soon find out what I mean!)

Winter in Iowa
It's winter in Iowa (well, technically still fall, If your that kind of person). nothing says hello winter like a blizzard. here's some pictures from before and after:
The first pic taken on the 2nd, and the next pic taken in the 7th. what a difference
a week can make!
what's really kind of nice is that we got 3 days off school. the best
part of that is that I don't have to make up those days at the end of the year because I'm a senior this year.
In yo faces other people!!
see you at or around Christmas!!

Thanksgiving and the day that follows
For those of you that are still waking up (10:41 CST anyway) and in a food coma, you're not alone. I am suffering a big case of food coma, and after Thanksgiving gas. Like this cat over on the right, I feel bloated. the only big dinner left this year is Christmas. then I have the rest of the year to get rid of all the fat ( I'll probably give up half-way into spring, but at least I tried!).-Random moment- Listening to "Go to hell" by Alice cooper, Good song!
Moving on... Guess what today is. That's right! It's Black Friday! nothing says happy Black Friday like beat'n the hell outta people over a $5 Barbie doll!-this just in- Avoid swamppolitics.com, it just froze my computer.
Anyway, Please don't kill anybody today, or trample anyone. We definitely don't want a repeat of what happened at Walmart last year.
Enjoy your day everybody!

"Free Carfax Record check"
When you click on a link that says "enter your VIN and get a free carfax record check" that's all you are getting for free, Carfax will check to see if that car has a record, that's all. If you want to see the record, you have to pay $30. Don't be fooled. They just want your money.
I did, however, come across a webpage where you can get a general report that is actually free. it is a database type of site. http://www.autovinvent.com/. you may not find your vehicle on this site though. for the whole story, visit this.
