Insurance is a big expense, if you are a new driver, otherwise, you wouldn't be paying so much. I talked to my insurance agent the other day. I am a new driver (in case you can't already tell). anyway, to insure the Taurus, $500+ for 6 months. Now I know what you are thinking, holy crap! I know. My mother has a(n) '00 Pontiac Grand am, she pays about $250 every 6 months, of course she has been driving longer than me (she's almost 40 now). she pays half of what I have to pay. Insurance companies are just out to make money, and they know that they can charge younger, newer drivers a lot more. They know that they can get away with it, because many older drivers agree with that, something like 'take all of their money, so they don't want to drive'. in a way, I can understand what they are saying, a lot of newer drivers drive like retards. In another way, I don't believe that this whole thing is very fair, why should I have to pay for other people's mistakes? That's up to you to decide.
I have a good website for getting a car insurance Quote. visit http://www.progressive.com/. they won't charge you anything, but they do require you to give them your e-mail address, so that they can send you a copy of your quote ( I think they expect you to buy insurance from them, I didn't though) I usually just delete those messages. my inbox was full of messages from progressive, but I did quote a whole load of cars, though.

About this blog
This blog is about my opinions, or anything that I am thinking about when I start writing. This blog is/was starting/started out as a school assignment, if that makes any sense, send a comment or something my way and tell me how you think I should've said it. anyway, this blog can be about anything, any of my intrests. I will try to get pictures that relate to the current post. I will try to make all of my blogs somewhat short, just because, just like me, there are a lot of people that don't like to read too much. thanks for reading, I probably left something out, but if/when I find out, I will get to that matter later.

My first car
I just recently got a car. It is a '93 Ford Taurus, I hope that's the way it's supposed to be spelled, I forgot to look. Anyway, for the year, and the price, it runs pretty good. by the way, I only paid $1500 for it, WOW! Of course it has a few problems with it, it needs a new radiator, new struts, new tranny gasket and filter, but I can get those parts pretty cheap. The reason: the Taurus is a pretty popular car, it seems like everyone has one. just count them, how many taurus's do you pass by or pass by you in one day. Seriously, count them! I picked this car because 1) it was cheap, 2) it has a pretty fair amount of interior space (four doors) 3) it didn't have any really bad problems.
In the last 2-3 weeks, I have tested soooooo many cars, all in the $1000 to $2500 range, from dealers, they will tell you that it is a good car, but when you drive it, it isn't as good as the dealer says it is. hold on now, it gets worse, when you bring it to your mechanic, he tells you that it needs all this crap to be taken care of, oil leak, out of alignment, rust everywhere, that kind of crap. that is what I had to put up with for the last 2-3 weeks. then I came across a really great website, http://www.autotrader.com/, here is where I found my car. the car came from a private seller that posted it on the internet.
my advice to the world: save a little more money, and buy a newer,or more expensive car. Try to go through a private seller, go to autotrader (the above link).

Walmart gets sued
I heard a while back that Walmart is going to be sued for something. I don't know the whole story, but I do believe that a guy was trampled or something on black friday( Nov 26?). From just that information, I believe that that is a load of bull crap, The people that trampled the guy should be charged. But that's just my opinion.

Old people
Iwork at a retirement home, and I know slow when I see it. all the little old ladies with their walkers. when I go from class to class here at skool, I guess that I can safely say that some people walk slower than the little old ladies that I see at work. if you are going to walk like grammas, then get out of my way, move to the side of the hallway.
on the topic of hallways, whats the deal with these huge groups of people blocking the whole hallway, with a gap at the side for only one person to get through at a time. really?! even the slow old ladies on their walkers don't take up the hallways, and the halls are a lot smaller at work.
I know that when you read the title of this section, you probably thought that I would tell you what I don't like about old people. there are some things that I don't like about old people. they are as follows:

- They Don't know much about technology
- They can't drive (meaning that they drive reeeeeeeeeeeeeealy slow)
- They sometimes have this weird smell
- They have dentures (I wouldn't mind if i didn't know that they do if they do (leave them in your mouth!))
Are you happy now. I told you what I don't like, but I will leave off on a good note. except for these four things I've listed, there are probably more, I do like old people, because they know a lot about stuff, and I make money by working in a kitchen for them.
